The Wandering Hours (Neo-traditional Mountain Folk; Metamodern Americana) The Wandering Hours are a rare group that is not only fun and engaging with the audience, but absolute tops on their instruments, drawing from folk traditions and modern songwriting. Banjo, mandolin, fiddle, upright bass, and guitar underscore the band’s thoughtful lyrics and storytelling. The Wandering Hours were named Creative Loafing Tampa’s Roots/Alt-County Band Best of the Bay in 2019 and 2020, and Best Original Band in 2020. We’ve had the pleasure of playing with John McEuen of Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Rodney Dillard of the Dillards, Phoebe Hunt, Claire Lynch, and more. We recently played at Evans Media event in Miami for the South Florida Bluegrass show, and at the Maddox Ranch Medicine Show.
