After years of writing songs throughout college, Jonnie Morgan, (rhythm guitar, lead vocals) decided to put together a band in late 2009 seeking musicians from all backgrounds and influences in an effort to form a band with a unique, yet unforgettable sound.  Morgan remembers seeing Jeremy Adams (Bass Guitar) for the first time in a local UCF pub and thinking “I have to play with this guy.  He was one of the most incredible bassist I had ever seen and it didn’t hurt he played on a 6-string.”  Over the course of the next 6 months, Morgan and Adams spent countless hours jamming with musicians around Orlando, looking for the right fit for the sound they wanted to create.  Over the years, they have developed into a jam band with a singer songwriter twist.  They are often seen bringing different instruments and players on stage to give each show a unique experience for the fans.

The Company Stores (ROCK/JAM/SOUTHERN)

The Company Stores is a Hill Hop band from Charleston, WV, that smoothly blends elements of many genres of southern music. They pull inspiration from styles such as Appalachian folk, Delta Blues, Rock, Jam Band, and even Hip Hop, then layer in their own modern styles and rhythms. Vocalist Casey Litz’s sultry and soulful voice captivates the audience, while the band lays down danceable grooves between dynamic builds.

The name “The Company Stores” is a throwback to the old coal mines of West Virginia. It refers to system set up by coal companies during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, where they paid the miners in “script” or “coal money” that was only good at the “company store”.

This name not only shows the bands heritage, but also the gritty feel of their music and the meaning behind many of their songs about the struggles of the common man.

Shane Meade & the Sound (SONGWRITER/FOLK/ROCK)

Shane Meade is a gifted singer songwriter and catalyst behind the soul-infused folk rock project Shane Meade & the Sound. Hailing from Elkins, West Virginia (a small town in those “Wild & Wonderful” parts) Shane is a self-taught late bloomer who borrowed an old guitar from his father and began playing and writing songs in the Summer of 2000. His music captivates the imagination, and audiences connect to his inspirational lyrics and universal subject matter. His unique and soulful style helps deliver an engaging live performance that is both powerful and uplifting.

From a diamond in the rough, to an artist on the rise, Shane remains simple and honest in his approach to songwriting. His intimate solo shows reveal candid moments of story-telling, highlighting the true pleasures and pain in life. Shane encourages audience interaction during these performances as he turns the stage into one’s own living room, as a way of giving back to those who continue to support and appreciate original live music.
