Orquesta INFINIDAD

Orquesta INFINIDAD is an authentic 11 pc. latin band based in Tampa’s historic Ybor City and led by Cuban bandleader, Pedro Bullaudy. They are truly the premier latin band of the area. They have performed at such venues as: the Super Bowl – Raymond James Stadium, Disney World, Clearwater Jazz Festival, Guavaween. They have backed up recording artists such as: Eddie Santiago, Paquito Guzman, Alex d’Castro, Junior Gonzalez and Justo Betancourt. Along with that they have performed at many private and public events throughout the area. The band consists of a two vocalists, two trumpets, a trombone, a sax, keyboards, bass, congas, timbales and bongos. They will make you dance your dance by playing Salsa, Merengue, Latin Jazz, Cumbia, Romanticas and more…

Bandleader Pedro Bullaudy has served as the driving force behind the Tampa Bay Area’s salsa scene, delivering original arrangements, fresh energy and the best of Latin music repertoire. In 2018, he received the Florida Folk Heritage Award from the State of Florida for his contributions to the cultural heritage in the Tampa Bay area through his work in Latin music.

Bullaudy was born in Santiago de Cuba, but fled with his family. After settling in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Bullaudy developed an interest in music and began playing trumpet and studied with John Ware of the New York Philharmonic. He came of age as salsa began to coalesce among Puerto Rican and Cuban musicians in New York. Bullaudy began connecting with some of the now-revered musicians from the scene including the Fania All-Stars. He shared the stage with Latin music giants like Eddie Palmieri, Jose Fajardo and Hansel Martinez, Bullaudy began performing with the progressive group, Cuba Song, with Edwin Bonilla who is known for his decades-long run with Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine. He then went on to play and tour with the Cuban singer, Roberto Torres, with his famous hit and the now classic version of the song “Caballo Viejo.”

Bullaudy relocated to Tampa where he collaborated with local musicians and introduced salsa to a wider Tampa Bay audience. He formed Orquesta Infinidad which was heavily influenced by the New York sound, and quickly developed a reputation as the premier salsa band in the Tampa Bay area. Orquesta Infinidad has performed twice at the Super Bowl, as well as at the Clearwater Jazz Festival, House of Blues, in a Netflix film, and in many local festivals.

According to bassist Elías Tona, “I consider Pedro not only a great musician, musical director and arranger, but also a great human being. He has made [Orquesta] Infinidad a cultural and musical icon for Tampa Bay.”

From the heart of Tampa’s historic Ybor City comes the sound of Orquesta INFINIDAD. Their timbre rings true with the colors and rhythms of Salsa, Merengue, Latin Jazz, as well as an array of other latin musical genres.
