$108pm $10
No Money Down (BLUES) Formed in Tampa, Florida in 2010, the No Money Down band is a four-piece blues ensemble that brings an exciting and unique blend of talent that creates a wide ranging interpretation of classic and original blues music. The band’s hard driving rhythm section combines with biting leads to move and inspire its audiences. Its members have played such venues as the Chicago Blues Festival, Jannus Live, Skippers, Tangerine Blues Festival and Buddy Guy’s and have opened for such greats as The Radiators, Southside Johnny and the Sean Chambers Band to name a few. Incorporating stylistic elements from Chicago, Mississippi and New Orleans while crossing over into Rock and Funk influences provides a varied and original sound for the audience. This diversity is further evidenced by its instrumentation, which includes lead guitar, harmonica, twelve-string slide guitar, bass guitar, drums and two vocalists. The group’s members represent a wide array of musical backgrounds that creates a unique texture and energy to well-known blues classics as well as its original compositions. The set list also features original arrangements of lesser known, hard grooving selections from a variety of vintage blues legends.
Southern Train (SOUTHERN ROCK/COUNTRY/ROOTS) is a 6-piece group that features veteran local musicians and performs male and female led songs with rich harmonies and layered guitars. Their sound is reminiscent of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Brothers, and Rolling Stones with a unique, danceable sound that often leans toward modern country and pop. In December 2014, they released their first EP of all original music titled “Platt Street Bridge.” The band has shared the stage with several well-known national and regional acts and have performed all over the Tampa Bay area in many 4,000+ attended festivals and events. Their stage experience, musicianship, and high powered sets of sing-along classic hit covers and original songs always get the crowd on their feet moving until the very last note.
