Not many singers are remembered on their 100th Birthday, years after they have passed, but when you’re a Grammy winning, multi-million record seller, whose career spanned from the Swing era in the 40’s to the new wave 80s and you are often referred to as The Voice—people remember. Especially the people at WMNF, who like to recognize the greatest musicians with multi-band tribute shows.
Don’t miss what could be the greatest selection of songs ever at one show, Saturday December 12th when WMNF brings over a dozen bands to the stage to do their interpretations of songs made famous by Frank Sinatra.
Although most of the songs Frank Sinatra sang were of the American jazz, lounge and traditional pop variety, WMNF is presenting bands that will not only embrace that sound but others that will expand it to include soul, rock, folk, reggae, country, blues, indi-rock and jam.
