Dan McMillion & High Octane (BIG BAND/JAZZ) Trumpeter Dan McMillion hails from Detroit where he played in many jazz venues such as Bakers Keyboard Lounge where he backed Peggy Lee, Mel Torme, Joe Jones, June Christy, Carmen McRey. Dan made a tour of Japan with the famous Woody Herman Band. Dan has recorded 6 CD’s on the Seabreeze Jazz label, and his “Got The Spirit” CD was Nominated for a Grammy in 2002…… Dan and his High Octane band have been featured if music magazine such as “Down Beat” “Jazz Times” “Jazz Improve” Dan McMillion & High Octane have played The Mobile Jazz Festival, The Clearwater Jazz Festival, The Orlando Jazz, The Sarasota Jazz Festival to name a few.
