“Build It Back” Benefit

4X, Solar Exposure Band, Peace of Woodstock and Stonegrey

On Friday, the 14th of July, a huge sinkhole swallowed two homes and all the belongings of several families here in the bay area.

Two of the victims, Steve and Vonnie Jakubiec have been very supportive fans of the local music scene in Tampa Bay and have been attending concerts and shows for many years. The Jakubiecs have followed several area bands, and have become dear friends to many area musicians. When the news of the tragedy hit, these bands all knew it was time to do something to help.

One of Steve and Vonnie’s favorite places to attend concerts, is Skipper’s Smokehouse, and when Tom White of Skipper’s learned of this, he was also more than happy to help.

“Build It Back”, a benefit helping several of these families, will be at Skipper’s Smokehouse on Sunday August 27th from 5-9 p.m. (doors open at 4 p.m.). The lineup includes: 4X, Solar Exposure Band, Peace of Woodstock and Stonegrey. Ticket prices are $10 (in advance) or $15 (day of show). There will also be raffles and a silent auction.
