WMNF Presents: A Tribute to the Rolling Stones – 7pm $20/25

Mick Jagger turned 80 so WMNF is Presenting a tribute to The Rolling Stones greatest hits and the entire Some Girls album!

After 2 years of battling legal problems, drugs and poor reviews the greatest rock and roll band in the world was on the skids. They had something to prove and that turned out to be one of their best albums ever— Some Girls.

Spending time in New York City, the Stones were influenced by the punk rock scene, disco and Caribbean sounds.  They were back and eager to prove they are still the greatest rock and roll band in the world.

To celebrate the release of Some Girls WMNF and Talk to Mark are going to re-create song by song, note by note in its entirety the classic album:  Some Girls.

It’s something that has never been attempted before—not even by the Rolling Stones themselves.

Doors at 6pm, music starts at 7pm.  Opening the show, 6 bands will take turns playing 2 dozen selections from The Rolling Stones greatest songs, in all styles—from Funk to Blues to Rock, Country and more.

Everyone does a Mick Jagger impersonation—are you ready to rock the house with your impersonation?  Prizes for all who participate and big prize packet for the winner.
