Scratch My Back , Benefitting FoHCAS w/ The Lint Rollers, The Palma Ceia Playboys & Pieces of Eight – 3pm $15
July 16, 2023 @ 3:00 pm
$1526 YEARS OF SCRATCH MY BACK
Over a quarter of a century, Scratch My Back (the late Scott Peterson’s brainchild) has raised a whole lot of money to benefit our fur families in the Tampa Bay area in memory of his beloved black lab, Molly. Sadly, Scott passed away before he could preside over the 25th event.
With the encouragement of Mark Peterson (Scott’s brother) and Tom White (Skipper’s Smokehouse) we’ve collectively decided to move forward with Scratch #26, once agin to benefit Friends of Hillsborough County Animal Services (FoHCAS).
Scott’s band the Quivering Rhythm Hounds was featured at most Scratch My Back events through the years.
THREE CO-HEADLINING BANDS! Live music will feature Scott’s old friends and bandmates. (Times are approximate!)
3PM
PIECES OF EIGHT
The show opens this year with a fantastic, ambitious 8 piece horn band, a tribute to the music of Chicago, Tower of Power, Ides of March…. music you don’t often see performed live… get to Skipper’s early- DON’T MISS THEM! (They’re only on first because of the logistics of fitting them on stage!)

THE PALMA CEIA PLAYBOYS
Pat Harpe was an original Quivering Rhythm Hound. Ruben Fernandez (Ruben Rey & the Undercover Band) was Scott’s neighbor and close friend. Ruben passed away a few months after their performance at Scratch My Back #25… Pat has joined up with members of Ruben’s band’s Lyle Russell, Beau Fisher and Danny DiPietra as

THE LINT ROLLERS
Joey Donovan (that’s me, feeling odd about writing in the third person) was also an original member of the Quivering Rhythm Hounds and has performed at virtually every Scratch My Back with the Mod Squad, the Third Band and the Lint Rollers. Scott loved to set up two drum sets at Scratch and play along with his friend Mike Cusumano. George Valaes on bass, Dennis “Torpedo” Toerpe on Hammond B3 complete the Lint Rollers’ lineup.
Scott’s brother Mark will take over as master of ceremonies.
FoHCAS will be on hand doing raffles and providing all kinds of animal welfare info and help.
SORRY, DUE TO HEALTH DEPT REGULATIONS, YOUR PETS MUST STAY HOME!
