Sometime in the summer of 2010 Rene started frequenting the open mic @ the Dunedin Brewery armed with guitar and a pocketful of tunes. Not before too long he met Sladjan Vidic and the chemistry between the two was undeniable, and the project that is shoeless soul was born.After Justin Pearl Morakis’ departure, Sladjan took over on bass, Dave Gerulat was added on drums. Dave’s skillfull rhytmic drumming style and on point backing vocals along with the soulful jazzy sylings of Mike Ratza on Saxophone, and impeccable Backing vocals have created a unique style that is shoeless soul.

Their sound has been described as feel-good pop-fusion, jazzy-reggae jam or more recently “Prozac-Pop”. The bending of genres infused with tasteful jams and catchy chorus lines gives shoeless soul a tone that has yet to be replicated.
The camaraderie is undeniable and evident in the playful musical banter and infectious smiles they display on stage.

NoNeed is a five-piece reggae-rock fusion band thriving in Tampa Bay, Florida, but quickly stretching its influence across the state. Rooted in a strong reggae sound, their sound covers a variety of genres, from metal to funk to neofusion jazz to pop. When listening to the band, you’ll probably hear influences of pop/punk, jazz, funk and of course reggae, blending all of the guys’ various strengths and influences into one amazing and unique style.

Formed in 2012 and hailing from sunny Florida, The New Rulers deliver the finest Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae and Soul straight from the tap. The bands rhythm section bring the chunk and the funk laying a rock solid foundation of intoxicating grooves that will have you reaching for your dancing shoes. Sax, trombone, and trumpet make up The New Rulers extremely talented horn section, bringing to the mix beautiful harmonic melodies and tasteful solos played from the heart. Finalize the bands vintage sound with strong soulful vocals and the classic harmonies reminiscent of 50s and 60s vocal groups. The New Rulers are currently in the studio recording their own set of traditionally inspired originals for their as yet untitled debut release on Citrus Records. The New Rulers hope to join the rest of their Ska friends on the road from Key West to New York and with the World Wide Web.
